The Lanx table lamp designed by Allesandro Marelli is at the forefront of the new, innovative and ultrathin OLED technology. Lanx emphasizes this by using a simple laser-cut aluminium foil with a thickness of 3 mm veneer with sheets of walnut, subsequently folded. This structure, very thin and light, allows the housing both the OLED and the power cables. Composed of 3mm thick aluminium sheets and a super slim OLED light, the highlight of the Lanx is its extreme thinness. The result is an ethereal and minimal aesthetic that, when contrasted with the warm wood veneer, makes it perfect for both modern and traditional spaces alike.
SUBMITTED TO THE EXHIBITION "LIGHTOPIA" ORGANIZED BY THE VITRA DESIGN MUSEUM LANX is now featured in the permanent collection of the THE VITRA DESIGN MUSEUM in Weil am Rhein/ Germany.
